Appointments

How far in advance do I need to request an appointment?

The farther you schedule in advance the better. However, we do our best to see our patients as soon as we are able and can typically see you within a week of your request.

How often do you visit a community?

We go to most of our facilities every 2-3 months, providing you or your caregiver notice one week in advance. If you or your loved one need to be seen between our regularly scheduled visits, please call to let us know and we will do our best to make arrangements.

What if I have an emergency?

If you experience a dental emergency, please notify us immediately by calling our office number. Please note that we do accept calls after our regular business hours. If you reach our voicemail, please leave a message as voicemail is checked regularly. We do our best to see emergency patients within 24 hours of the initial report. In case of a medical emergency, please call 911.

I just want a cleaning; do I need an exam?

For a patient to receive a cleaning, he or she must have completed an exam performed by our dentist within the previous six months. If you are not an established “patient of record” and have never seen one of our dentists, then an exam is required prior to a cleaning.

How do I schedule an appointment?

MDS considers all personal and medical information obtained through the exchange of records and/or communications as both confidential and private. To learn more about MDS policies regarding patient information protection, please see our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Do you take x-rays?

Yes. We have a low-power digital x-ray system that allows us to see high resolution images in real time.

How do you deliver services?

We use portable dental equipment (dental chair, x-ray system, and delivery unit), which is brought inside the facility and set up in a designated medical space. Though most patients receive treatment in a MDS dental chair, our team is able to provide care to patients who are unable to be transferred from bed or their wheelchair.

How often does MDS visit?

MDS visits each community on a regular basis. Contact us to find out the next time we are visiting you.

Financial

Are your prices higher than those a of a traditional dental practice?

Our prices tend to be a bit higher than those of a traditional practice because of the additional costs associated with the delivery of mobile services. Since our patients are typically older, we tend to spend more time providing care than most dental practitioners.

Do you accept medicare?

Medicare does not currently cover any general dental procedures.

Can I be billed?

Yes, you can be billed for basic exams and cleanings. However, a credit card is required and will be held on file to secure your payments. If a restorative or other procedure is needed, financial arrangements (credit card or ACH debit) must be made.

How can I make a payment?

You can pay in one of several ways:

Credit card payment through our patient portal

Credit card payment over the phone, by calling 832-716-0909

Checks, mailed to our business office at 7575 San Felipe St, Suite 101, Houston, TX 77063
